Untrue statements made by Mr. Robert Bastian, USEPA to NAS/NRC Committee, and by Water Environment
Federation (WEF), Associated Metropolitian Sewage Agencies (AMSA), and Mr Robert Odette, Synagro, regarding
the death of Tony Behun in Pennsylvania.

Despite EPA stating in
Part 503.9(t) that if you are exposed to the pollutants in sludge biosolids, you can potentially
expect death, disease, etc, the hired "scientist" of Synagro would have you believe the opposite is true. Just because
it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck and has feathers like a duck, doesn't mean it is a duck.

Synagro paid Paul Chrostowski, Ph.D., QEP, CPF Associates, Inc., good money to state:
"At the simplest level, it can easily be seen that hypotheses to the effect of “biosolids contain pathogens (or toxic
chemicals); pathogens or toxic chemicals cause disease; individuals have been reported to be sick near land
application sites therefore biosolids cause disease” fail to stand up under the scrutiny of either scientific or legal
causation criteria."
