PENNSYLVANIA – APRIL, 2005 - CLASS A SLUDGE – E-COLI IN WELLS – SMELL SICKENING, EMPLOYEES
COMPLAINING OF HEADACHES AND NAUSEA -- .we have had our State Rep..Harhart...DEP and Twsp officials
here only to be told Class A has no restrictions and we are to live with it..

Thanks Helane...will use this to spread the word...a lot has been going on in our twsp in regards to this sludge....mostly
the smell has gotten the neighbors reiled up....we have had our State Rep..Harhart...DEP and Twsp officials here only
to be told Class A has no restrictions and we are to live with it...
yesterday I was told the farmer was putting the wrong "stuff" on and from now on we should see an improvement,,,
WRONG STUFF...what is wrong stuff...it is running down on my property...spread 20 feet from my building ...my wells....
the neighbors had wells tested and came up with human e-coli and were told to put clorax in their wells by DEP...
WHAT...!!!!! just what are our rights here...how far can I go here...I feel as if I'm taking sides with neighbors...
our local Channel 13 TV station came here Monday and did an interview...with myself, since I was the"instigator"...a
few neighbors and the farmer...the farmer made it sound as if I were trying to get rid of farmers....and not that he was
creating a potential health hazard here...I'm not an activist...just a concerned grandmother...but darnit...I want to make
sure my grandkids are here to make me a great grandmother some day....just how far can I carry this....this is
SUPPOSE to be Class A....but the smell is sickening...my employees are complaining of headaches and nausea...he
has plowed this under for now but has said he intends to stockpile this stuff over the summer...we live in Pennsylvania
and Harhart tells me this is an agricultural state and the farmer has more rights than I do...I am not downing the farm or
farmer...I grew up on one...I still have my own flock of chickens, peacocks and have over 200 rescued exotic birds...shit
is a part of my life ...but not this kind...there is no one here in authority who intends to push this...or help me fight this...
