Tests reveal more wells (16) contaminated by waste treatment sludge -- Nitrates are
regulated in drinking water because they have been linked to a rare but potentially fatal
disease in infants [Blue baby syndrome]. Somme experts have said there are other, less
documented health risks, including diabetes, miscarriages and some kinds of cancer.
